About Schucker.org

I obtained the Schucker.org domain in 2000. My (extended) family and children were becoming web literate and I wanted to set up a place for them to be able to set up their own web pages.

I wanted to be able for them to develop either flat (plain HTML) or interactive pages. Since I had been working with Java Server Pages (JSP) for some time, I wanted to find a host that I could have my own Java environment.

I had also been using Resin for some time and thought that it was a pretty impressive application server. It is very easy to setup and use. It's support for JSP pages is very impressive, and is very forgiving of compile errors.

The JSPWiki software has been the perfect application. It's easy to add pages and manage the basic content.

The ideal site for hosting was 20After4.net, they support Resin and are very reasonably priced.
