It's nice that you are important, it's more important that you are nice -- old family saying
I'm never really sure to put in these one paragraph descriptions, so I'll try to do it in a single page. You can get the short form by looking at my answers to the Pivot questions from the Actors Studio.
I'm the Chief Technical Officer for Kaloke Technologies. We are a J2EE consulting / development company. We've done some pretty major development in the last decade. Our expertise is in systems integration with legacy systems. Since we are based in the Philadelphia area we cover the US East coast. We've also done projects in Canada, and completed a project for a bank in Brazil I've been doing systems development for the last 20+ years (yes, I know Cobol) and have been doing web development since 1995. A large part of my work has been in software engineering, but it is mostly now Software Architecture with some project management. One of my new focus areas is Getting Things Done and Risk Analysis. I also have been teaching for over 20 years for colleges and universities along with private training companies.
Schucker.org If you are really interested in my resume, send me an email: Foster at Schucker (dot) org and I'll send you a current one. You can look at the jobs I've had. I also have a great set of children that I'm very proud of and like to spend time with.
To relax I spend time on my boat, the Quo Vadimus and flying kites along with some personal software development -- Project One. Most of my free time in the fall and winter is spent working on VEX Robot project and with the local teams, the Downingtown Area Robotics / VEX Competiton Robotics
I'm part of a non-profit called STEMRobotics (STEMRobotics.org) In 2009/2010 I was asked to serve on the core team for the proposed Downingtown Area School District STEM Academy. A current project is the creation of a PVR or personal video recorder. I'm kind of done with Comcast and want to be able to get video entertainment in a different way. We have (and love) Tivo, so something to replace that. List of things to remember:(Wed 08 Sep 2010 at 07:03:36 CDT) Links
This picture was the cover picture on the BEA customer magazine Inside Middleware in 1999, from when I worked at FirstUSA bank
Foster is the #923 most common male first name. 0.006% of men in the US are named Foster. Around 7350 US men are named Foster
Schucker is the #28362 most common last name.
So odds are in my favor of being the only Foster Schucker Map of all the countries I've traveled.
