My amateur radio call sign is K3FXS. I've been interested in radio for most of my life. It's a vanity call, I tried to get as close to my initials as I could manage. I'm working on getting KI3TES as the call sign for my repeater.

I'm a life member of the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) ( I need to live until I'm 63 to break even on the QST subscription.

My big interest are using the FM satellites. I've worked a number of states, the farthest away is Nevada (from Eastern Pennsylvania.) I mostly use the Yaesu FT-51 and the Arrow antenna for the satellites. The two make a nice portable package.

I'm trying to get a station together to be able to do Earth Moon Earth contacts (also known as Moon Bounce). I attended the Earth Moon Earth 2004 conference to learn more.

I also have an interest in Software Defined Radio. While I have OK digital hardware skills, I never had any luck with analog hardware. (Yes, I did build a Star Roamer Knight Kit in 8th grade and have built a number of crystal radios, but that does not really count). Software Defined Radios (SDR)let you program the radio to be anything you want. The use of Digital Signal Processors let you do the work in software not hardware. I have a number of other hand held units and a two meter (144Mhz) desktop unit that I use as an Echolink link. It's on the air in either Dover or Exton, depending on where I am.

MARC radio club

FT8900 is a radio that I'd like to be able to afford
Multiband Amateur Radios that have 160m - 70 cm coverage

Most of the Device Manuals are on-line.

I'm also interested in Digital Hardware - the world of digital electronics
